Commercial Pilots Licence

Prerequisites:

The following requirements are assumed to have been met at commencement of training:

Course Description:

Most candidates choose to complete their CPL Training in a single engine aeroplane. For this we use the PA28 Warriors161 with the complex work and CPL Skill Test completed in the PA28R Arrow1V.

You will begin with 5 hours in the simulator to ensure all required procedures and checklists are up to the required standard before moving into the Warrior. Approximately 10 hours will be spent in the Warrior with cross country navigation and general handling skills being developed. Once ready, the final stage of the CPL course is completed along with the skill test in the Arrow where emergency procedures and general tidying up of the candidates technique is done.

As an option you can take the CPL Skill Test on a multi-engine aircraft so combining the MECT training with your CPL training. You have to consider whether taking the CPL skill test, an already demanding test, is not made even more demanding by opting for a faster bigger aircraft.
